ABOUT ME

Mandy Rupa-Reid is trained in Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) since the age of five under Kanan Deobhakta School of Dance in Epsom, Auckland (1986-2011). 


Mandy has a 30 year history of dance performance including at Aotea Centre, The Civic, Auckland Town Hall and Bruce Mason Centre and numerous museums, galleries, festivals and event spaces around New Zealand. 


Her tertiary studies include a Postgraduate Degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Otago (2004), as well as qualifications in Directing, Presenting and Journalism. She has experience working in film, television, advertising and the performing arts industries in India, London and New Zealand. More recently Mandy has returned to her dance career as a full-time student training towards her Aarangetram in 2022 where upon completion she will receive her Diploma in Dance and will be qualified to teach.
